Happy 10th birthday Caleb Joshua!

December 1oth. 6:06 pm. Incognito, Delaney attempts to open gift for Caleb. Operation sneaky. Operation FAIL.

Great Grandpa G and Grandpa singing away.
Delaney pretends not to notice said singing.
Caleb is hypnotizing the cake.
Sophie: reading a good book while listening to birthday song.
Aubrie is wondering if the candles are going to catch Caleb's shirt on fire. Always a possibility...
Fact: Great Grandpa G was 90 when Caleb was born.

My handsome son. I love him so much! Thanks for being such a great kid! You ROCK!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree......

I'm just so random.....

Don't you hate it when you get your Christmas lights out from their hibernation, and a strand is not working. Or one bulb, or maybe all of them?
Yeah, me too! But what I really don't like is going to the big commercial Home store, buying the new lights in the fancy box..full price and everything. Take the time to put them up on the house balancing on a rickity stepstool. ( K, Nathan did the putting up part, I held up the boy so he didn't biff it......) and plug in the beautiful lights. And. 1/3 of the " New " lights don't work. Great. Nice.

Snow covered stuff.

Have to practice with the camera in low light......:)

I see how it is. Technology. Hmmph. Have to IM your husband to come upstairs, or down. Sending email to the kids to remind them about chores. Watch weird Al's eBay song/video while trying to get family to sit for family night. I see how it is.......

Gingerbread cookies.

For FHE we made gingerbread cookies. Rather, we made cookies. I didn't have molasses, which for you bakers is a key ingredient in gingerbread. I substituted karol syrup and honey. Seemed to work okay!

They had fun mixing the colors toward the end.

From my front porch to yours.....

I mean, WOW! I was headed downstairs to put another load of laundry in, and this sunset caught my eye through the window. I called the kiddos outside for a quick picture. It was amazing. The kids, and the sunset. I get to see this every evening right outside my front window. I am a lucky girl. Really. Truly.

Beauty.
