Learning how to can stuff

So, My sister Holly and I noticed a pear tree by her house just dripping with fruit. We went and asked the people working on the property who the tree belonged to. They said it was the city's property, and to go ahead and take what we wanted. We decided to ask our Mom to help us can them. We also went into our Sister Heather's yard and picked a ton of grapes. We made Grape juice, grape syrup, half pears in syrup and pear sauce. We spend a whole day and a half on it, but it was worth it! We were pleased with the results.
